Dear hiring manager,

I am writing to express my sincere interest in the vacant generalist position. I am actively looking for freelance and contract opportunities in the ed-tech field, and I am very excited about FutureSchool as an organization. I deeply appreciate the mission of the team and would really love to become a part of this phase in the development of the company. I will also be submitting my resume to be considered for other roles as the organization seems to have a lot of opportunities that align with my skills and professional interests.

I believe that I could be a very strong candidate for the generalist role due to my interdisciplinary background in office administration, social media management, project management, early childhood education, and media production. My most recent position in a corporate ed-tech environment was in the research department at Nickelodeon. My primary responsibility was assisting with content testing and product development of educational content for the noggin app and television programs. I am sure that this experience will be highly transferable in my work at FutureScool. In reference to my experience producing digital content, I currently work for a public television station called The Ohio Channel where I assist in the production process of educational videos and broadcasts related to Ohio history, arts, and culture for public television and social media. I have also had three years’ worth of administrative assistant experience, so I have had plenty of practice in coordinating schedules and managing office materials. Furthermore, I served as a social media marketing assistant for my study abroad program in Bath, U.K., so I would be able to assist the team with managing the production flow and design of digital marketing materials in a fast-paced environment. I am confident that I will be able to apply all of these skills to my work at FutureScool, but please examine my resume for further details on my past work experiences.
